How does hiring a Virtual Assistant or VA, boost my productivity?

How to boost your productivity, with the help of a Virtual Assistant (VA).

Do you find yourself constantly running out of time to complete all of your small business tasks? Are you overwhelmed by the number of things on your to-do list? Then it’s time to think about working with a virtual assistant like me.

When you're running a business, productivity is everything. The more you can get done in a day, the more successful your business will be. But sometimes, it can feel like there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Here are five tips for making the most of your virtual assistant and boosting your productivity.

1.       Delegate, delegate, delegate. The first step in boosting your productivity with a virtual assistant (VA) is to delegate tasks that don't require your specific expertise. This could include things like data entry, scheduling appointments, or managing your inbox. By delegating these tasks to a virtual assistant, you free up more time to focus on the things that only you can do.

2.       Set clear expectations. When you're working with a virtual assistant, it's important to set clear expectations from the beginning. Make sure your virtual assistant knows exactly what the tasks are, any timelines and specifics, as well as making sure you provide everything needed to carry out your tasks for you, in a timely manner. I can’t get on with a task, if I don’t have he information needed to complete it can I?

3.       Communicate clearly. Communication is key when you're working with a virtual assistant. You need to make sure that you’re giving clear information on the tasks, so that they are done as you like them to be. Having a system in place for communication means we can both ask and answer questions easily, provide feedback and generally stay on top of things. With my clients, I email for our initial back and forth and then use a free project management app when we are in the flow of things. This means there is no need for lengthy calls, because, let’s face it, time is money and if you’re using all your time up on the phone with me, there isn’t going to be much time left for me to do your tasks.

4.       Use project management tools. There are a variety of project management tools available that can help you stay organized and keep track of your tasks. Consider using tools like Microsoft To Do, Asana, Click Up or Notion to keep track of your tasks.

5.       Be flexible. Finally, it's important to be flexible when you're working with a virtual assistant. Remember that I’m there to help you lessen the load, so be willing to adjust your expectations if necessary and be open to suggestions for improving your workflow.

In essence, as your virtual assistant, I can be a mighty asset in turbocharging your productivity. By entrusting me with your tasks, setting crystal-clear expectations, fostering effective communication, harnessing the power of project management tools, and embracing flexibility, you can unleash the full potential of having me as your virtual sidekick, ultimately granting you the freedom to concentrate on the crux of your business. Think of me as your own personal fairy godmother, conjuring up extra hours in the day for you to tackle the truly important stuff, all while keeping your sanity intact. So go ahead, embrace the VA magic and watch as your productivity soars to new heights – without needing to wish upon a star!
